Welcome to Snowy Owl Class


Mrs Warbrick, Mrs Donnan, Mrs Davies, Mrs Hopkins


Snowy Owl Class are the youngest children in the school. Mrs Warbrick (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and Mrs Donnan (Thursday, Friday) are our  teachers, Mrs Davies (Monday, Tuesday) is our Nursery Nurse and Mrs Hopkins (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) is our teaching assistant. 



Our topic for this half term is

'The Seaside'

We will be visiting Walton on the Naze for a traditional seaside experience on the beach and it's famous pier and at the end of term we will have a 'Seaside Role Play Day' in school to experience what it was like to visit the beach and pier in Victorian times.

These are some of the things we'll be doing in our topic:

  •  Building lighthouses and boats.
  • Role playing in the Lifeboat Station.
  • Finding out about seaside holidays in the past.
  • Investigating floating and sinking.
  • Reading Seaside stories including; 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch', 'Sharing a Shell' and 'Commotion in the Ocean'.
  • Consolidating Phase 4 phonics and starting on Phase 5.

Other useful information


PE days are Monday and Thursdays - PE kit and plimsolls or trainers are needed.

In the cold weather sweatshirts and track suit bottoms are also needed.

Long hair should be tied back and earrings removed.

Outdoor wear and wellies are needed for Wellie Wednesdays.

Please bring a water bottle to school every day,
