Discover Reception at Manuden

Our Reception environment provides children with opportunities to play, explore, discover and grow.

During your visit, you will be able to see the classroom in action and find out more about how we support children as they begin their journey at Manuden.

Our aim is to provide children with a happy, secure and ambitious start to school, where they are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, curiosity and a love of learning.

Applying for Reception

Applications for Reception places are made through Essex County Council, rather than directly to the school.

For children starting Reception in September 2027:

Applications open: 9 November 2026
Applications close: 15 January 2027
National Offer Day: 16 April 2027
