School Meals & Healthy Snacks

Healthy Snacks for Breaktimes

Fruit and/or vegetables are provided every day for the children in EYFS/KS 1.

However, we do understand that some children may need an additional ‘something’ to eat during the morning before lunch.

We therefore have an agreed list of acceptable foods for break time snacks.  We have also included a list of foods that we do not allow in school.  This was on request from parents and I hope that it is useful to you.

PLEASE REMEMBER - We are a NUT FREE school and do not allow nuts of any kind into school or on school trips.

School Meals

We serve a freshly cooked hot dinner every day with a choice of three main meals (one meat/fish, one vegetarian and a jacket potato option), sides and a pudding for £2.50 per child per day.  There is also a salad bar and a choice of milk or water.

Our Menus are changed termly and run on a 3-week rolling cycle.

All allergens can be catered for - if you have any concerns, please contact the School Office.

We are a NUT FREE School.

All EYFS/KS1 children receive Universal Free School Meals.  KS2 children pay for their meals on a termly basis.

Your child may be eligible for free school meals if you are receiving any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit (not Working Tax Credit), with an annual income below £16,190
  • Pension Guarantee Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance, income related
  • Support under part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act, 1999
  • Working Tax Credit run-on, paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit, with a household income of £7,400 or less (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
